Long Overdue, Lost or Damaged Items Replacement Charges* A user who has not returned an item that is overdue 60 days or more, or a user who has lost or damaged an item, will be charged replacement fees based on the following fee schedule:

Item Type Replacement Fee Fine Processing Fee
Circulating Item $50.00 Current owed fine $15.00

• If library staff have evidence that the replacement cost of an item is likely to be higher or lower than the default replacement fee (not including any labor or overhead), that price may be charged instead • Patrons will be notified by email and a hold will be placed on their university account (Special Users with no university account will be barred from further checkouts until the bill is paid) • Any fines associated with an item are not refundable • Processing fees are non-refundable • If the item is found after a replacement copy is ordered, the replacement costs will not be waived. * Replacement charges apply to all library patrons regardless of status.

Billing

Reports are run at the beginning of each month, at which time patrons with new bills of $5.00 or more (bills ran up since the last billing period) are notified by email and a hold is placed on their university account, or if a special user, their account may be blocked or barred.
